Monk Forum
Hello Monks
Knowing Guild Wars guru is a place where many gamers come together, I had hoped to find some monks here too. The result isn't what I thought: so many threads in the Monk forum and nearly no Monk farming builds.
Then I saw a friend of mine visiting the Ranger Beacon. Maybe all monks have gone to a similar Monk only forum, though I do not know which one. Searching with Google gave no sollution, so at last I try it here. Is there some place where I might find more monking information?
And, if not, has any monk ever thought of making such thing? It looks very nice to me and I would like to help making it.
Thanks and greetz,
FHM.

There reason there are no farming builds in here is that there's a separate "farming" board within The Campfire specifically for that. The individual professions' boards are more for general discussion.
Kinda makes sense... if you're running a farming build you're not really playing "a monk" anymore, in a way.

Yes, I can completly follow you. Though I think you misunderstood me. I did not think to find farming builds here, I didn't find any suuficient in the Farming Forum itself, for Monk.
So, it does indeed makes no sence to search them here and I didn't do so. Still this doesn't answer the main question of thread; is there a Monk Board/Forum apart from the guru (or gwnet or kindlike) somewhere on the net?
Thanks anyway for answering

There's a limit to how many different 55 builds people can post you know?

No, I did not. Still, I do not even search them.

what other build would you run on a class that does virtually no damage outside of one attribute and a flaw in game mechanics?

You may find some other forums on the official GW website fansite roster and some farming builds on PvX wiki. I am not aware of any standalone monk forum. I find it strange that you judge forum quality based on the amount of farming builds...

Yeah it would be nice to have something like that. Like a place with most advanced monk advices and suggestions. Because I really try to become a good monk, but I fail -.-
(And yes, I did read all guides and instructions from high-end PvP'ers)

I've been to the ranger beacon. While some stuff is pretty cool and innovating, 90% of the builds there are complete trash. Having a monk forum would make it end up like that, because inevitably, there is a limited amount of good builds.

What Holymasamune says sounds logical, and I will think about this. Though I think that there are enough updates in the game by which we need to update the builds, too.
Celestial_Kitsune, thanks for the link of gw. I was forgotten of it. Though I do NOT judge a forum on farming builds, but on up-to-date information. The most topics I find - I post my question here because here this isn't true - are very, very old. Maybe my explanation is/was confusing, I'm not good in giving this myself .
Just like 6am3 Fana71c, I also want to become a good monk. I can't say I'm bad, though it can become better, a lot better.
